Don't just keep it to yourself - contact a member of the committee.
Better yet - why not join the committee - we need your help - all it takes is an hour or two each month!
got an issue?
The Council are already working on several areas of the estate - you have probably noticed the improvements to the front green, and several pavements
Pedestrian lights have also been installed near the main Lakelands entrance.
estate revamp (updated January 2010)
luas (January 2009)
Work continues on the transfer of lands to the residents on the south side of the Close. While there is a legal difficulty with some of the transfers, our solicitor will progress any transfers that he can, and will then concentrate on the more difficult cases.
We hope to begin the transfer very soon.

Keep Up To date
All planning applications are uploaded to An Bord Pleanala's web site. It is worthwhile visiting this site on a regular basis - www.pleanala.ie.
Each week, the applications for the previous 7 days are added.
If you have a particular interest in an application, bookmark the page, and visit often.
Link Road (updated January 2010)
This was approved at a Council Meeting unopposed.
Work has been completed, and you can see a car using the road from time to time. At a cost of over €40,000,000, we think our objections to the construction has been justified.
Hopefully, the Council will listen to reason in future.

Over 50 people turned up to enjoy mulled wine and pies on the back green on Jan 2nd 2010.

The BBQ will be held on the BACK GREEN on in June as usual.

IMPORTANT- LOCAL AREA PLAN
Please click this link to view important information about the Local Area Plan
This is URGENT - the current plan allows for the development in Sandyford of TWENTY SEVEN LANDMARK BUILDINGS ranging in height from FOURTEEN TO THIRTY TWO STORIES
You need to follow this up BEFORE January 22nd 2010
This appeal by the NRA to Bord Pleanala about the proposed new Beacon Hospital highlights the problem that the Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Development Plan 2010-2016 will rely only on a reference to a pending Sandyford Urban Framework Plan (or a more preferred Local Area plan) for all future developments in this area. There are no specific plan details for Sandyford in the 2010 Dev Plan pages or maps.
We need to keep the moratorium on site by site awarding of planning permissions and look at the overall area plan.
